Denis Nelthorpe
President
Denis joined the Board of Anika Legal in June 2021 and is the organisation’s newly appointed President. He brings a wealth of experience from over 40 years in the legal assistance sector including as the CEO of WEstjustice and other leadership roles. He is currently also the Chair of St Kilda Legal Service and the Deputy Chair of the National Consumer Advisory Committee at the Insurance Council of Australia.
Marcia Pinskier FAICD
Chair
Marcia joined the Board of Anika Legal in June 2021 and is the organisation’s newly appointed Chair. Marcia is an expert on good governance in the not-for-profit sector. She is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has chaired numerous not-for-profit boards. Marcia is currently a Doctoral Candidate at Monash University, researching Leadership and Institutional Child Sexual Abuse.
Tessa Ramanlal
Board Member & Co-founder
Tessa has over four years of experience in legal and technology sectors. She has practiced as a Corporate lawyer / Innovation lawyer at Herbert Smith Freehills and is currently an Enterprise Partnerships Associate at DoorDash. She is also a co-founder of Anika Legal.
Noel Lim
Board Member & CEO
Noel is the Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Anika Legal, and has led the founding team to become an organisation of 62 volunteers, and to receive successive AFR Client Choice Awards for Startup of the Year (2019, 2020).
Michael Choong
Board Member
Michael has over five years of experience across the technology, retail, and not-for-profit sectors. He is currently a Strategy Manager at SEEK, responsible for supporting their Latin American businesses. He joined Anika Legal’s leadership team in January 2020.

Noel drives the direction of our organisation and ensures that each portfolio is successfully managed

Zoe Chan
Principal Lawyer
Zoe is our Principal lawyer, and is responsible for developing and delivering the legal service we provide.
Zoe was previously a lawyer at Justice Connect, where she gained experience in civil litigation, pro bono projects, and designing user centred service improvements.
Lucy Majstorovic
Head of Partnerships & Philanthropy
Lucy is our full-time Head of Partnerships & Philanthropy, working with our trusted partners to maximise Anika’s impact.
Dan Poole
Head of Finance
Dan leads our Finance portfolio, ensuring Anika’s finances are well managed
Dan is also a pro-bono lawyer at Hall & Wilcox and Co-founder of Society Melbourne
Gwilym Temple
Head of Operations
Gwilym leads our Operations portfolio, which keeps the engine of our legal practice running
Gwilym has experience in workforce management, analysis and process optimisation at Uber
Edward Sinclair
Head of Strategy
Edward leads our Strategy portfolio, which keeps us focused on success
Edward runs international expansion strategy for the Minderoo Foundation. Before this, he was a management consultant at McKinsey & Company.
Jess Nashed

Jess leads our Product portfolio which builds the processes and materials used by our clients and students

Matthew Segal
Head of Technology
Matt leads our Technology portfolio and is responsible for our technical infrastructure
Matt is a full-stack software developer with experience in eCommerce, fintech and online media

Head of People & Culture
George leads our People & Culture portfolio, which supports Anika’s functions to build aligned, effective and engaged teams

Jane Prior
General Manager at WT Partnership
Jane has significant leadership experience in higher education and operations across strategy, marketing, IT, HR and finance. She serves as a non-executive director in the not-for-profit sector
Jane has been a mentor to the Anika leadership team since the business idea was created

Not-for-profit and for-purpose consultant
Brendan is an emerging leader in designing innovative ways to provide community legal services
Brendan was the Head of Community Programs at Justice Connect and the 2020 President Elect of the Law Institute of Victoria
Clyde Fernandez
Regional Vice President, Platform & Revenue Cloud at Salesforce
Clyde is a career technologist who has spent time working in many sectors in Australia, Asia & the UK
