Noel Lim named Victorian of the Year 2025

We’re thrilled to share that our CEO and Co-founder, Noel Lim, has been named Victorian of the Year for 2025.

The award recognises Victorians who have made an outstanding contribution to the community, and Noel’s leadership at Anika Legal has done exactly that—transforming how renters access legal support and driving lasting change in the housing system.

Under Noel’s leadership, Anika Legal has:

• Helped over 1,000 renters stay safely housed by providing free legal help
• Built a tech-enabled, student-powered model that doubles the capacity of our lawyers
• Won real reforms, including stronger rental laws and minimum standards for homes
• Shaped the national conversation on housing, with Noel a trusted voice in media and policy forums

But what makes this recognition so meaningful is that it reflects a broader truth: everyone deserves a healthy home. And the right to a safe, secure home should never depend on your income, postcode, or background.
