COVID-19 Rent Reduction Support

We are no longer able to provide support for rent reductions.

Times are tough. If you’ve lost your job or are struggling to pay your rent, we offer rent reduction support to get you through to the other side.

How it works

Start your case with us, and you’ll receive free legal assistance and advice, specific to your circumstances and COVID-19.

What does it involve?

After you’ve submitted your case, one of our team will be in touch to discuss your situation. Then, we’ll work with you to prepare a personalised letter to your landlord to seek a rent reduction (don’t worry, it’s totally free!). We’ll also give you the tools you may need to negotiate with your landlord.

Who is eligible

Any tenant or renter living in Victoria who is facing financial distress during or due to COVID-19. Not sure if you're eligible? Submit your case, and we’ll let you know.

Here’s the step-by-step breakdown:

Complete our questionnaire

This will give us all the things we need to help you.

We’ll call you

Look out for a call from us within 3 business days, and we’ll answer any queries you may have.

Receive your free legal advice

We’ll drop you an email, outlining your rights and how we propose to help you with your rent reduction.

Receive the tools and resources you need

We’ll then prepare your personalised letter to your landlord and send it to you to review. You’ll also receive our negotiation guide, complete with quick and easy tips on how best to speak with your landlord.

We’ll send the letter to your landlord

Once you have approved our letter, we’ll send the letter to your landlord on your behalf, aiming to kickstart your request to receive a rent reduction.

You’ll speak to your landlord

You’ve got this! When your landlord gets in touch, you’ll be clued up by our negotiation guide, and you’ll feel confident of getting the best possible outcome!
